There are two ways to submit a video to your teacher. The first way is to click on the "Submit a Video" tab in your navigation bar.
You'll be asked to choose a category (such as Beginner, Intermediate, etc.) and the video lesson you'd like your video submission to be affiliated with (all video submissions must be affiliated with a video lesson in your chosen category).
In the example below, I've chosen the Beginner Country Guitar as my category (see red arrow). When this category opened, all of the video lessons under "Beginner" are available to me and I have to chose which of the video lessons my submission will be affiliated with.
On the right side of the screenshot, you'll see that 18 Video Exchanges (VEs) exist for the "Introduction to Electric Country Guitar" video lesson (see green circle).
If you don't know which video lesson to affiliate with your video submission, you can use the "Submit a Placement Video" (see blue star) lesson.
Click on the video lesson of your choice and follow the prompts to upload your video. Be sure to enter your video title and any comments BEFORE clicking on the "Start upload" tab.
You can also submit your video by clicking on the Lessons tab in your Navigation bar. You'll then need to choose your category (Beginner, Intermediate, etc.) and the video lesson you'd like your video submission to be affiliated with. You must choose a video lesson that displays the words "VideoExchange" (see red arrow below):
When the video opens, the text below will display directly above the video image:
Click on the blue “Submit a video” link. This will route you to the page allowing you to upload your video.
You can either click the green “+Add files” button or you can place your video file in the “Drag files Here” box to upload your video.
Once your video is uploaded, be sure to enter your video title in the Title field and any comments for your teacher in the Comment box BEFORE you click the “Start upload” tab.
Once your video has successfully uploaded, a large red banner will appear at the top of your Home page as shown below. This is your indication that your video is in your teacher's queue and you're good to go.
If you do not see this banner on your Home page within 30 seconds of submitting your video, this means that your video submission was not successful and you should try again.

Please note that you may only submit one video at a time for your teacher's review. Once your teacher responds with a VE, you'll be able to send them your next video. In addition, only videos may be uploaded through our platform. You may not upload audio clips, PDFs, or other types of documents.
