The first example is not true. There is no button at the bottom of the lessons which says, "Submit a video for this lesson." Please update the FAQ

Most of the schools have lessons where the teacher has specifically requested that a student submit a video.  Those lessons are marked with a camera icon next to the name and they do have the "Submit a Video" button below the lesson.   Any lessons where they don't require a submission will not have that button.  There are a few schools where the teacher has chosen not to require a video submission on any of their lessons and so you will not see this button at all.  You would submit them a video on any topic using the "Submit a Video" menu option.

When your teacher replies with a video to your video assignment and requests

for your to submit another video with the suggested changes. Question is do you

go back to your lessons and submit a new video or can you reply to the teachers

    video that was sent?

You would submit a new video after you've worked on the suggestions they've given you.  Just make sure you title it something that shows it was a second attempt.

Hi Artist Works, I'm enrolled in the Jazz Saxophone school and I'm unable to find any of the links you describe. The only way I could find to submit a general video was via "Community>My Videos>Manage Videos". However, the dialogue box required a selection of one of "Personal video 1, Personal video 2 or Personal video 3" in the category section. Will this get to Eric or not? I have my doubts.

I also asked this question directly in the "Shout Box" but my entry never appeared.

Your help with all this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and regards,

    Grant

We'll be updating this section to reflect the new design but it's still simple to get a video over to Eric.  Go to the Basic Saxophone section and you'll see a lesson called "Submit A Placement Video".  You can send over a video introducing yourself to Eric and have him place you in the curriculum.  If that's not what you're wanting to do, scroll to the bottom of Basic Saxophone and click on the lesson titled "Other Student Submitted Tunes" and send in a video that way.

Just keep in mind that videos uploaded to the My Videos section of your Community page are for sharing with other students. It's not how you would send a video to your teacher.  Any time you want your teacher to see a video, always submit it through a lesson.

I'm having the same problem as Dawn. I'm in Paul Gilbert's school. The main feature of your site is to submit videos to the teacher yet the link is so difficult to find. Where do I go to submit a video?

Nevermind - I now see it via a link at the top of the page saying it's waiting for Christie. I suppose someone has to review it first before making it public? :)

Nice to see that this site uses Drupal!

    --------
I submitted a placement video through Christie Peery's placement video lesson (http://artistworks.com/christie-peery/learning/110968), but don't see it in my list of videos or video exchanges. Does that tell me it didn't go through? I realize nobody may look at it for awhile because the holiday season. Thanks.

Is it possible to add comments to a video that I have already submitted. I think I hit the wrong button and uploaded a video before I was finished. Thanks.

I don't think so. It would be nice if you could actually see what you submitted, along with comments and title, and edit if need be.

    Hi Luisdavid,

i dont know which school you are in, but the message you received means all is good. When you log in to the site, there should be a red banner near the top, saying something like "Video waiting for (teacher)" Then wait a few weeks for the response while you look at other lessons and exchanges. Then when your teacher responds, there will be a new alert in that same red banner area. I never get emails. Also, I think you can click on the name of the video in the red banner area, and can see a preview of the video you have submitted.

Is there any limit to video format or size of the file for the VE?! Why isn't this info somewhere visible at the start of the upload process or top at the FAQ pages?
