The difference between a student video and a Video Exchange (VE) video is that student videos are shared with the ArtistWorks community (all other students in your music school) but are not shared with your ArtistWorks teacher.
Student videos, photos, tracks and more are uploaded through the My Profile page and are viewable to students in your music school(s). These are just for fun, to show off your musical skills, or for your reference.
To upload a video go to your My Profile page and click on the “Add Videos” button shown below:
To submit a video to have it reviewed by your teacher (to receive feedback/critique), you must submit your video to his/her queue. To do this, go to the school's homepage and choose a video lesson that is enabled for VEs (the lesson must have the VideoExchange icon). Once you've opened the video lesson, click on the "Submit a Video" tab to upload your video for your teacher.
To recap, there are two categories of videos you can upload:
- Student Submissions: These are for fun and will not go into your teacher’s queue or be put into the Video Exchange library. You can add or remove these at any time through your Community page and clicking on the “My Videos” link in the red banner.
- Video Exchange Submissions: These videos will be submitted to your teacher’s queue and will be reviewed by your teacher. Once he/she makes a response video, the Video Exchange will be added to the Video Exchange library and will appear in your ArtistWorks account for your review.
